Short sleeved top and shorts weather......

Or according to about three different weather forecasts it should have been!!

Nobody bothered to tell Ingleborough and Park Fell though for my run up there from Austwick this morning (with Harry and his friend Wallace). It seemed okay when we set out but, soon after we'd passed the wrecked hut above Nick Pot, the weather monster turned up and all of a sudden it was driving wind, low cloud and pissing rain. To say that my hands got cold is an understatement of humungous proportions; they're still tingling and thawing out now 4 hours later!

We did find time for a good deed though, coming across a group of 3 Peakers (going clockwise from Horton) who'd missed the path off of the Swine tail of Ingleborough and were wandering along the edge of Simon Fell looking for Whernside. Although my speech was slurred with the cold I managed to point them in the right direction - and then sprinted off into the mist and rain like some kind of underdressed mountain weirdo. They all had the proper full weather gear on and must have thought of me as either a) rock hard or b) mental. I'm sure it was a).......

We've survived!
